Additional prize added: Farmers Market Dinner for two at the Francis Marion Hotel. Each week, Chef Ryan Kacenjar celebrates the Charleston Farmers Market going on across the street in Marion Square, turning fresh, local and sustainable foods into a gourmet dinner.
Do you have friends who love Marion Square, Waterfront Park or Colonial Lake? This is the perfect time to invite them to be friends of the Charleston Parks Conservancy on Facebook and you both have a chance to win a romantic picnic for two and a romantic dinner for two so you can enjoy the coming fall season with a picnic in the park and a Farmers Market Dinner made with food straight from Charleston's own Marion Square market.

If you're not already, become a friend of the Charleston Parks Conservancy Facebook page.

Invite your Facebook friends to be friends of our page by clicking "Suggest to Friends" on the top left of the page. Then select which friends you'd like to invite. Or you can send them a message noting there's a prize at stake for both them and you!

Ask your friends to post your name to the Charleston Parks Conservancy’s Facebook wall as the person who recruited them. That qualifies both you and your friend for the contest.

At the end of the drive, we'll award a gourmet picnic basket courtesy of Ted’s Butcherblock, a Charleston Parks Conservancy picnic blanket and a Farmers Market Dinner for two plus one glass of wine per person at the Francis Marion Hotel to the person who recruits the most friends.
We'll also randomly select one of the winning person's "recruits" to win a picnic for two from Ted’s Butcherblock, a Conservancy picnic blanket and a Farmers Market Dinner for two with wine at the Francis Marion Hotel!
The friend drive will run from Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, to Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010.
Winners must be at least 21 years of age. The prize of a picnic for two is courtesy of Ted’s Butcherblock and has no cash value. The winner will be mailed gift certificates and a picnic blanket. The Farmers Market Dinner for two excludes tax, gratuity and additional beverages. Seating for this special menu is 5-8:30 p.m. Saturday. Prize value is $119. Have questions?
